Orientation Into Virgin Peruvian Hair

Peruvian Hair is the ultimate multi-purpose hair! It's extremely soft and ultimately feather-light! You can have up to five bundles of a Peruvian hair installed yet still maintain a feathery light, maintainable style. This hair is coarser in texture than Indian or Brazilian hair and its luster is low to medium. It blends very well with African-American relaxed hair textures and medium Caucasian hair textures. This hair is Luxurious and another one of our favourites.

LOCATION:Peru is located the West side of South America

ORIGIN: - Peruvian hair is collected from remote villages of Peru, where there are not a lot of donors.  The population of Peru is a mix of Indian and Spanish immigrant heritage.

FEATURES:Peruvian Hair is coarser and thicker than Brazilian hair.  It grows naturally straight, wavy or very curly.  But when washed becomes more curly in texture.  It comes in natural colors of dark or light brown, and sometimes in the less occurring slightly blonde shades.

VERDICT:Peruvian Hair is very difficult to source this is why it is more expensive than other hair on the market.  If you like extremely thick hair and lighter brown colors, then Peruvian hair is the hair for you.  It will provide you with the strength, body of Brazilian hair with the smoothness of European hair.  Be careful to not buy too many packs of Peruvian hair, as it will look overfull and square.  The hair lays thick so you will need less bundles to give the desire effect.

Frequently Asked Questions

1.How much hair will I need?

When considering human hair extensions it really depends on the look you are going for. For the average full head weave you will need at least 200 – 3009 (2-3 bundles) of hair. Longer and fuller styles typically require more hair. We recommend 400g(4 bundles) for a full head of weave, and 500g (5 bundles) if you want it extra full. People working with hair 22 inches or longer should consider purchasing anywhere from 400g to 500(4-5Bundles) as the width of these tend to be shorter due to their length. Many of our customers purchase different lengths for natural layering.

2. How do you care for Virgin hair?

Because this is 100% virgin human hair extensions, you would care for this hair just as you would your very own. Wash and condition it regularly. You can blow dry, but we recommend drying the hair by either sitting under a hair dryer or when possible let your hair air dry. Please refer to our hair care labels for more detailed information.

3. Should I trim or cut my Virgin human hair extensions?

Remember this is natural hair, so it needs the same attention and care that you would give your own natural hair. We recommend using different lengths for a natural layered look which would also dismiss the need to cut the hair. However, it would definitely be your choice depending on your style, but we ALWAYS recommend that every Virgin Hair Enterprises customer makes this hair their own, by framing your face and finding a style that fits YOU.

4. What is the difference between the various types of Virgin hair?

There are subtle differences between the types of hair. The differences are more apparent in the hair’s reaction to water, heat or air drying. They all have natural movement and will never tangle or shed unlike non-virgin or chemically processed hair. Most of them are available in wavy, straight or curly textures. The colors are not even through out the weft. You will get a few patches where strands maybe lighter or darker than the rest of the weft. This is normal and typical of hair from a sunny country where hair lightens with exposure to the sun.

Orientation into Virgin Brazilian Hair.

Brazilian Hair is by far the most popular type of virgin hair extensions. This is mainly because it is silky but thick, therefore it can blend well with women of all races. Brazilian Donors also have the widest variety of NATURAL curl patterns. For instance; Deep Wave, Body Wave, Romance Curl and Kinky Curl. Therefore they have the most versatile and light hair.

But, what EXACTLY is Brazilian Virgin hair?

"Brazilian Virgin hair is one of the best qualities of hair because the cuticles are unidirectional. This means women will have a lot less tangling. It is untreated and completely natural. The hair itself is thick, shiny and often contains a slight  wave. Because of its texture, this type of hair extension can be used by a diverse variety of ethnic groups."

Niki Motz (C.E.O of Pelo Hair Los Angeles)

Another reason women everywhere, including celebrities, chose Brazilian Virgin hair extensions is because of its shelf life. Brazilian Hair extensions can last up to a year when cared for properly. Gels, mouse, and style products shouldn't be applied by anyone other than a stylist. But, heat and even dyes can be safely applied for a beautiful, customized look.

When deciding to purchase Brazilian Virgin hair women need to know the following things to look for.

  1. The hair has to be in its natural state or its not virgin. We have seen some women with obviously dyed hair extensions who claim to have paid good money for virgin hair. However, Virgin hair means the hair was never treated with any chemicals. Brazilian hair may contain some natural highlights but obvious blonde on brown frosting is a huge red flag.
  2. The hair needs to look healthy and shiny. Brazilian Virgin hair is popular because of its reputation as shiny, sleek and healthy appearance. Flat, dry, or damaged looking extensions should never be considered to be a good purchase option.
  3. Buying hair out of a van or from a friend. This should be obvious but there seems to be public perception that Virgin hair is either hard to get or expensive to get. While there are some companies that overly charge because Brazilian Virgin hair is in demand, the product itself is available in many stores. Buying hair from the back of a van or a friend may be cheaper but there is no real way of knowing what you are buying.

When considering buying Brazilian Virgin hair, a woman needs to look for a natural taper at the end of the hair extension. There is a difference between Virgin and Common Brazilian hair too. Common Brazilian means the hair was collected from a few sources. Although the quality is the same, the hair has been processed to correct cuticle issues from the collection and to match a curl, wave or sleek appearance.
Regardless of the type of hair extensions purchased, this fashion trend doesn't seem to be "dyeing" down anytime soon. For women wanting to change their looks for an evening or a season- hair extensions are now more affordable, and accessible, than ever before.

If you enjoy natural, bouncy curls and other adventurous curl patterns, Brazilian Hair is just virginly right for you!

Introductory Post; Why go "Virgin"?

Many of you are wondering.... Why go "Virgin"? What does that even mean?

Well, in order for you to understand what we mean by "Virgin Hair", we must unravel why this phrase has been coined in that manner.

Contrary to direct translation or assumption, "Virgin Hair" is not hair from virgins. The phrase actually has no link whatsoever to the sexual preservation of a woman/man. It however, draws direct reference  to the pure nature of the hair, indicating that it has not undergone any chemical treatment like bleaching ,relaxing or curling. The donors donate their hair and thereafter the weave is named per its donor's origin. For instance Brazilian hair, would be from a Brazilian donor and Peruvian Hair would be from a donor from Peru.

Virgin and unsullied hair extensions& systems tend to be the most expensive and luxurious hair, because the hair has been harvested off donors, therefore, its 100% Organic and Natural

This makes the hair extremely light, durable and versatile. It is light, because one bundle of hair would only weigh 100g. Therefore, a full head of hair would weigh up to 200-500g, depending on how many bundles you use. Its durable because the hair fibres are lighter and more flexible, therefore there is minimal to no shedding or tangling. As for its versatility, its organic-nature ensures that the hair fibres are thinner therefore any chemical treatment it goes through is retained for a longer period of time.

Which brings us back to the question. "Why go Virgin?"

Well, because Virgin Hair is more natural-looking, more versatile and way much more durable than any other hair extensions in the market. Because there is minimal to zero tangling, it also makes the hair very low-maintenance. Seeing that the hair is no longer growing from its root, the only way to keep it moist and fresh, is by occasionally deep-conditioning it so as to regain moisture and lustre.

In a nutshell, it is a better investment, a better purchase and a BETTER LOOK!
